Hi, my name is Samantha
Founder of The Healing Room | Registered Nurse & Alternative Medicine Practitioner
I help people understand that healing is not just physical—it’s energetic, emotional, and multidimensional. And it doesn’t have to be complicated. I make it make sense. I make it accessible. And I help you remember that your body already knows how to heal.
I’m a Registered Nurse with nearly a decade of experience in high-pressure, high-acuity environments, but it wasn’t until I stepped outside of the western medical model that I discovered the deeper layers of healing we’re not taught to look at. That’s where The Healing Room began.
Today, I blend my clinical foundation with advanced alternative modalities that support multidimensional healing—including energy medicine, frequency, and light therapy, to support true, lasting transformation. I work with the whole person, not just symptoms.
We are energetic beings. This is no longer a theory—it’s measurable. The heart has an electromagnetic field. The brain communicates through frequency. Every cell holds a charge. And when our voltage drops—through stress, trauma, inflammation, or disconnection—our systems begin to break down.
Healing is voltage.
Restore the charge, and you restore the body’s natural ability to heal.
Multidimensional healing means I don’t just look at the physical layer—I work with the emotional, mental, and energetic levels of your being. Because real healing happens when all systems are addressed and brought back into harmony.
My work is grounded in both science and alternative medicine, shaped by years of clinical experience and continuous study in the field of energy medicine. Whether you're dealing with stress, chronic symptoms, burnout, or just a sense that something’s off—I help you get to the why behind it, and offer support that resonates on every level.
Because your body is brilliant.
Your energy is intelligent.
And healing starts here.

You are the medicine,
Sammy

THE BRAND
At the heart (pun intended) of my philosophy lies the understanding that true wellness encompasses both emotional resonance and cognitive clarity. The heart embodies our emotional intelligence, empathy, compassion, and intuition; essential elements in navigating life's twists and turns. On the other hand, the brain symbolizes rationality, logic, analytical prowess, and strategic thinking; a cornerstone for making informed decisions and achieving goals. But here's the magic: when these two powerhouses (heart and brain) collaborate synergistically, incredible things happen. It's not just about balance; it's about integration, where emotional depth meets intellectual acuity, creating a potent force for transformation.
So, why did I choose to depict this union in my branding? I recognize that true well-being cannot be achieved by focusing solely on one aspect of ourselves. By integrating the heart and brain, I emphasize my commitment to a holistic approach to health and wellness. One that nurtures both our emotional and cognitive faculties. The heart emits a powerful electromagnetic field, while the brain generates intricate neural patterns. By merging these symbols, I emphasize the exploration of energy frequency and sound, tapping into the profound connections between mind, body, and spirit.
The Healing Room's brand identity serves as a visual reminder of the profound interplay between our emotional and cognitive selves. A reminder that true wellness stems from honoring and embracing both aspects of our being.

THE STORY
My journey in healthcare began in 2012 when I entered pre-health sciences. It was during this time that I started working as a PSW in long-term care and continued throughout my four years of nursing school, dedicating my weekends, holiday breaks, and summers when I had time off. This hands-on experience not only gave me a deeper understanding of patient care but also helped me learn the true meaning of compassion in healing. Taking care of the hands that paved the road ahead of me felt like the greatest honor. They carried wisdom and stories about life that I cherished and learned from. Their lived experiences reminded me that healing goes beyond the physical, it’s about connection, compassion, and presence.
In 2017, I graduated with honors from York University and officially began my career as a Registered Nurse at Stratford General Hospital. I gained experience in various chronic and acute care settings, and yet, these early lessons stayed with me. They planted the seeds of a deeper understanding of healing, one that would later inspire the creation of The Healing Room.
Like many, I believed this would be my forever career a “rewarding” path dedicated to saving lives. I imagined retiring with stories to tell, wisdom to pass down, and a legacy of making a difference in the world. But as the years passed, I began to question the cost of this dream. Holidays, birthdays, and special moments with my family slipped away. I was perpetually sleep-deprived, burned out, and disconnected from myself and others. Despite interacting with countless people daily, I felt no true connection. To cope with the emotional toll, I learned to suppress my feelings, a survival mechanism that left me hollow and desensitized. I had once believed being a nurse was the highest honor, but I realized I was losing the very thing that made me human: my emotion, my passion, my sense of purpose.
Everything changed when I became pregnant with my first son. During a challenging pregnancy, I took an early maternity leave, stepping away from my role in the ER. What I thought was a temporary pause became a permanent shift. At the end of 2021, I faced a decision that would alter my path forever. Unable to return to my position due to new policies, I felt pushed out of a system I had given so much of myself to. At first, I mourned the loss of what I thought was my future. But with time, I began to see it differently. That “push” was the catalyst I needed to open my eyes. I realized that the system I had trusted was focused on symptom management, not true healing. This is when I began to ask myself: How did we care for ourselves before hospitals and pharmaceuticals?
The pivotal moment came when a personal health challenge in my family pushed me to look beyond conventional care. The medical system offered little understanding or solutions, leaving me disheartened. This moment, though difficult, sparked a deep determination to uncover answers. I dove into homeopathy, energy medicine, and holistic approaches, learning how to work with the body instead of against it. What I discovered changed everything. I learned about modalities that worked in harmony with the body instead of against it. I saw how powerful it could be to address the root causes of imbalance instead of masking symptoms. Health is not just physical, it’s emotional, mental, and energetic. True healing is about seeing the person as a whole, not just as a set of problems to fix.
The process of unlearning and relearning was overwhelming, but it was also liberating. My frustration transformed into curiosity, then determination. I realized that my experience as a Registered Nurse gave me a unique perspective, and I could use that to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and a more holistic, integrative approach. This journey led me to create The Healing Room, a space where people can reconnect with themselves, find true healing, and rewrite their own stories. It’s a place born from my transformation, a testament to the power of stepping outside the box and trusting in a better way forward.
Now I’m here to help others find their path to healing. Let’s heal together
